His name is Monster and he is one. He is a hit at the Ellis Unit Prison where I train dog obedience to inmates.         Sporty's last litter, summer '09        This is Peyton and her Vali x Woody puppy, Sasha. As you can see from the second photo (taken after she got her home to South Dakota), she's a girl after my own heart! And this is Isabelle and her Vali x Woody puppy, Rosabelle - what a perfect match!  Below are pictures of Hi-Flashun Tiki x Thistle Ridge Shiner puppies, summer '09            Newt      Gus & Harley Watch for Newt & Gus this Christmas at J.C. Penney, they were chosen as their Christmas puppies for all the in-store advertising! Upcoming breedings Thistle Ridge Flynn x Thistle Ridge Shiner This breeding produced outstanding working terriers last year so I will repeat it again this year. We did get some size behind this breeding even though you would think Shiner would downsize a bit. If you are interested in a good falconry dog, this is a good cross. The chest sizes are still nice, even on the larger dogs, but they have made great flushing dogs and have great reach and range nicely, staying close enough to keep from worrying but far enough out to flush game for the birds. They are still good terriers, game for the hole, but nice for falconry work too. I am starting Flynn out this year under what will be my first bird and her daughter worked under a Goshawk and started on fur at 4 months. They are plenty game but responsive enough for a lot of different types of terrier work, both traditional and non traditional. Expecting this to happen in Fall '09. Thistle Ridge Liza x Thistle Ridge Cisco Planned for early 2010 - this will be a nice line breeding to tighten up on the end of my lines from David Jones. She lives in the Houston area and is keeping the barn free of critters!             Congratulations to Tammy & Jason McCullough of Poolville, Texas on getting Thistle Ridge Dash (puppy below). She named him and then realized that his aunt is also Dash! I think it fits him like a glove :)          Congratulations to Chris Cervantez and Paul Shaner of Austin. The little boy below is now "Jake" and will get to live very close to his brother!        Congratulations to Joey King! The little cutie below is going to call Austin home. Seems appropriate since that is where Thistle Ridge began! Joey is calling him "Miles."           Below are some photos of them at 4 weeks.                These are a few photos of the most recent Thistle Ridge litters from Summer '07. Starting them out early!                   Pit Bull? What's a Pit Bull? We'll show you Pit Bull, big boy! You just gonna stand there or what?? We'll take him down, you get the rear and I'll go for the throat! (No Pit Bulls were injured during the shooting of these photos, and Saint got a big bone for being such a trooper!! Sometimes the cutest puppy is the hardest to deal with! Please remember that terriers can have same gender issues, and that often the males are easier than the females in this breed. Jack Russells are special dogs, if you haven't owned one before please do all the research you can. And please call or e-mail with any questions. Don't forget about russell rescue also. There are many great adult dogs that need homes, and while puppies are adorable, there is a lot that goes along with a "toddler." Sometimes an older dog is more suitable for certain situations.
